Learning Chinese: Lesson I
Lesson I: How to introduce yourself to someone and have a rather random conversation.
Conversation for three (if one of the people are mute)
Wang Peng: Ni hao.

Wang Peng: Wo jiao Wang Peng. Ni ne?
Chaya: Wo jiao Chaya.
Wang Peng: Ni shi meiguoren ma?
Chaya: Wo shi meiguoren. Ni ne?

Wang Peng: Zaijian huai dan!
English Translation:
Wang Peng: Hello.
Chaya: Hello. What is your name?
Wang Peng: I am Wang Peng. Who are you?
Chaya: My name is Chaya.
Wang Peng: Are you an American?
Chaya: I am an American. How about you?
Wang Peng: No. I am Chinese. What time is it right now?
Chaya: Right now it is 2:30 in the afternoon. Who is that? (pointing to person next to Wang Peng)
Wang Peng: He likes to be called "Canada". He is mute.
Chaya: Really? Is today his birthday?
Wang Peng: No. His birthday is next thursday.
Chaya: I would like to take "Canada" out for dinner next thursday, is that alright?
Wang Peng: No good. "Canada" doesn't like people. But, I like people and I also like food, how does that sound?
Chaya: Well, I don't like you. Good-bye!
Wang Peng: Good-bye bitch (bad egg)!
Not bad for your first lesson, eh? Now you are well on your way to taking a trip to China while surprising people with the randomness of the Chinese language that you know and use. Stay tuned for lesson two, who knows when that will come.
Anyway, I have recorded "Power of the Wake" and it is finished. If you want a copy of the song then you need to instant message me and ask for it, baby!
