Great Gatsby!, It's Gilligan!
OK, stop gnawing on your own asses like the dogs you are and read the insanity that I am about to fortell. OK, now that I have your attention I want you to know that I don't actually have anything important to say.
Anyway, the first week of classes is almost over and I am feeling pretty damn fine. I've got great professors and I'm taking Chinese! OK, I have a Chinese quiz tomorrow on the initial and final sounds. I feel like I might be screwed, but maybe I'll get lucky. I went to Piano II and realized how many music students must be in the class and that's when it all came back to me: I can't sight read very well. So, I feel totally behind the rest of the class, but I am on a sure-fire note learning schedule that should curve me back into good runnings with the class.
Scantily Clad Lads does indeed have a drummer and we are definitely practicing this weekend. In related news, Mark is the new bassist in Bomb Children, how flippin' sweet is that? Yup, I know. It's funny, though Subject to Change broke up over a year ago I still end up playing with them both once again at almost the same exact time! Trevor will be drummer at his first practice with us this Saturday and I will be playing with Mark in Bomb Children for the first time this Friday! Ain't that odd? It's fate really.
I am also starting work on this new fake news show that has been started at NMU. I am going to be doing field reporting, weather, and I will get to interview fun clubs! It's something that has gotten me very excited for this semester among many other things.
Oh, and in other news, I got this external sound card and I can record music on my laptop once again. This has helped end months and months of frustration, let me tell you. I was so happy when I could record again that I've already finished one of my solo songs. It's decent, but you better talk to me if you want to hear it.
Anyway, all I need now is a job and I am set. I can only hope that I will get a job. But who knows? Anyway, catch you next time here at the only blog you ever need to read!
