The rock show

Well, all-and-all, things are looking pretty bright in the dark, dark world. So, I just got finished playing a show for people in the basement here (Scantily Clad Lads and Bomb Children). I am in both bands and I feel both sets went as well as they could have even though the vocals and my guitar may not have been loud enough most the time and too loud some of the time. People enjoyed it, and I feel good. i will be making DVD's of the show sometime soon, so don't miss out on that.

Anyway, I got a job the morning after I posted my last blog. It is pretty exciting. It is a full-time job as a janitor on campus all through the summer 5 days a week and no weekends. And just for a little kicker in my now-so seemingly good life: Kohl's called me for an interview for a part-time job as a 8pm-1am sales sign changer. I could listen to music while I do that mostly all alone! No people, no nothing!

I had Val write a giant chinese symbol on the back of my head and during the Scantily Clad Lads set I wore a sweetass mandarin gown. On the back of my head it was the symbol for "listen". Yeah, so anyay, I am kind of happy and I am going to hit you guys back with another blog someday. Thanks for reading, and if you saw the show I hope you enjoyed it. Goodnight.

Take off that Silly-Ass Hat, Brian Williams!

So yeah, I suppose I should post.

The days make me sadder, more tired, lonesome. Where are we these days? I don't want to go home. I want to stay here. I don't want to do a research paper, I want to be lazy for a while. I don't want to go home, I want a job in Marquette. I want to have a smooth and fun concert this weekend.

That's right, Scantily Clads Lads playing a show this Saturday, I just hope it goes well. It is pretty much my only sunshine (pretty much).

If anyone knows how to get a job, let me know. I don't mind what it is anymore. I just feel like maybe being alone this Summer might clear my mind. Let me be lonesome all alone. I don't know. I don't know what I want. I don't know where I want to be. I want a women. But women are so person-ish, and I hate people. What's up with that, right?

I wish I wasn't so self-aware. That's right, some people are just way more self-aware than others. I don't want to be self-aware. I want to sleep. So tired. I want to start working out again. Why did I stop working out? Why do thoughts creep into my head at night?

Well, there you have it. Some sort of streaming-mind blog shit for all of you out there that might care. The end.

OK

Well, if only like 3 people are going to leave comments I'm not planning on writing here anymore. So, if you people out there (Either the ones that quit reading my blog or the ones that decided it isn't important enough to help me with my name) don't post some more sometime soon, I am done. The blog before "Mardyllo Dust" had 1 comment and the 9 comments in the last one are mainly from the same 3 people. So, that's all I have to say, sorry for sounding upset, because I'm not.

Mardyllo Dust

Is it a good name or not? Leave a comment or be destroyed.

An hour ahead of ourselves, are we, Sister Jacques?

Oh yes, I know I posted recently and I don't generally post often, but I have had such a crazy week that it needs to be placed in my blog. So, yea, anyway, on with it I suppose!

So, I was apparently a crazy man this Monday because I had a job interview for Adult Learning Systems. It is a housing unit for mentally ill adults. There isn't any men working there, but the interview went well and a I have high hopes. They said they'd call me on Tuesday, but maybe they meant next Tuesday? Anyway, they fired somebody while I was outside the office, it was pretty intense. But then they came outside afterward and was like "How's it going?" I was all like "Fantastic!"

That same Monday I had some summer orientation job meeting to go to. I thought it was at 7pm. Right before I ate at 6pm, I found out it was at 9pm. So, I came back from eating happy about the extra hour I had to spare. Well, It seemed like it was time to go over to the orientation so I left and went to the correct room. Everyone in the room was staring at me very oddly while I was searching for a seat so I turned around and found out this was a class. I said "Isn't this room 140 for the job orientation thing?" The prof said "It's at 9." That's when I turned and looked at a clock and realized it was only 8pm. So, rather embarrassed, I left. So, I was so busy that day that I ended up an hour ahead of myself. Wow, huh?

I made a new film for my digital cinema class using the song Module 2 by Restless Arising. I shortened it a little in Acid, and it is finished. I really like it a lot and want to submit it to a film festival or something. Like, a real film festival. I got the idea when Chris said "Make a film with a nun that drives her car into the pond." I thought it was too big budget for me, but then I began to think about someone praying about something, and wah-la!, you've got Frederica Jacques (A.K.A. - The Murky Nun). It's really rather good and many people die in it. So check check check it out.

Anyway, the Tuesday filming was nuts and frantic and what should have taken 2 hours took 6 and I was up until 3am the night of the filming. Boy was it ever so frustrating! But no one except Cathy and Mark know how frustrated I may have been, cause they were actually there. But yea, I also spent 8 hours editing the motherfucker. But, enough with that, on to better news?

I am going to make a DVD of my films tonight I think. Until then, stay posted, anyone got anymore pseudonyms for me? It is a requirement that you post one with your comment from now until I settle on one! OK, laters.

Dylan Watkins?

OK kiddies, I thought I would blog once again since it is April. Easter has come to pass, there has been a time change for some sort of daylight savings special down Isle 9. Anyway, the point is, I've got things to say:

The Scantily Clad Lads showed up at the Radio X Open Mic night this past Tuesday and played five songs (three being covers). We played: Hurt, Rose, Stumbeliene, Derelict Miasma (AKA - I can derelict my own balls, thank you), and Last Call. All went rather well except for the several screw-ups that most people in the crowd (small crowd) didn't notice. But, of course, during rose, the microphone was all up in my shizzy cause me and Val sing in that song so I screwed up bad during that song.

I also played a short solo set at the same open mic night. And yes Chris, I taped it. I played: Tomorrow, Evil Soundtrack, Who the Fuck Knows, Girls in the Garden, and One of the Same. I did pretty decently, but I can't be sure if I did the best I could. At the show I called myself Dylan Watkins, but I have been thinking about people with pseudonyms lately (ie - Sycamore Smith, Elliott Smith, Mr. Popstar) and I realized I hate my last name and need a pseudonym indefinitely. But, what? Someone help me out here!

I was inducted into the Psychology National Honor Society today (which means they can never kick me out) and it was odd. I arrived 3 minutes late and they already started. So, I arrived late, but I think it looked rather fashionable myself. Probably because I am a suave, debonair motherfucker. It was kind of lame, we signed a piece of paper and lit a candle. Lame, eh? Then they told us to socialize. I said nothing to nobody and stood around for 10 minutes, drank some water, and left. That was a great way to spend 30 minutes.

I fasted again this past weekend and was going to fast for 48 hours but I broke it off. I expended too much energy and ended up quitting the fast 6 hours sooner than I would of because I didn't want to be pooped for Ninja Games. I was spending too much time playing DDR during my fast. Yea, that's right, DDR. I like that game, and I never really started playing it often before this weekend. But yea, it is a good time. I probably won't play tonight, but I sure will play tomorrow!

Anyway, that's all I have for now I think. I hope I can write more cool songs because I have been having pretty decent ideas for music since February hit. Anyway, help me with the pseudonym and until I see you next, keep on living (Unless you are Terry Shiavo or The Pope).
